Editorial Policy

I would rather omit a number than decorate a page with one I cannot click through to. This policy is the rule I use when a guide page and a wiki disagree. The badge on each page is the version and the date of the check, and it matches the article:modified_time tag.

What counts as a source

First: files on pokebonk.com, including /legal, /version.json, /manifest.webmanifest, and /data/*.json, plus https://api.pokebonk.com/status. Second: strings and patch notes that shipped inside that same build. I label Spanish notes as translations. Third: a third-party page, only with its claimed version and the date I saw it.

I do not invent release dates, file sizes, prices, or win rates. PokéBonk is free according to its legal page. The Lab table and calculator use costs extracted from the official v0.7.10 client. Kit-coverage rankings are deterministic comparisons with zero measured runs, not observed DPS, win rates or an official tier list.

One page, one intent

Each URL answers one search question. The controls page is not the beginner page. The “no app” page is not a download page. Tier letters, when I publish them, are labeled as a method plus a sample, because the author does not publish an official ranking.

Corrections go to [email protected]. I change the date on the page I edit. I do not backdate a fix to the day the mistake went up.

What I will not publish

I will not publish cheats, modified clients, or save editors. The legal page forbids that, and the 0.6.3 notes say edited gold and no-damage clears are rejected and can suspend an account. I also will not copy SpriteCollab sprites or another site’s screenshots.

Frequently asked questions

Who writes the pages?

The publisher of pokebonk.run. The byline is the organization in the page schema, not Charcher.

Do you take payment for rankings?

No. There is no paid placement and no official tier list to sell.
