Classic vs Survival in PokéBonk
The client does not say “Classic” first. It says Clásico: zones, guardians, and a sanctuary. The other mode is Supervivencia: infinite hordes and milestones. I use the English names on this site and keep the Spanish ones next to them so a screenshot still matches.
Clásico (Classic)
A region is three zones plus a sanctuary. The results UI shows Santuario once the stage index is 4 or more, and Zona n otherwise, with a time per zone. Difficulties are Normal, Hard, and Nightmare (Normal, Difícil, Pesadilla). I do not have Nightmare’s numeric modifiers from the bundle, so I am not guessing a health multiplier.
Supervivencia (Survival)
There is no difficulty picker. The 0.5.0 notes added comets, migration portals, a sanctuary that regenerates, Ditto, and Hypno. Hostile ground includes mud, thorns, quicksand, and burning floor. Legendary shiny rolls are off in this mode. I cover that on the shiny page.
The client defines kill, per-Pokémon, survival-time and time-attack leaderboards, with weekly and season boards. At 00:03 UTC on 21 October 2026, the status snapshot labeled season 1 GEN 1, from 15 October at 16:30 UTC to 21 October at 00:00 UTC, with dust multiplier 1 and season.live false. This is a dated snapshot, not proof of a season rollover or current leaderboard availability.
Frequently asked questions
Does Survival have Nightmare?
No. Normal, Hard, and Nightmare are Classic only.
Which regions does the checked configuration select?
The v0.7.10 client filter selects forest and desert. Four more regions are defined outside that filter. This is not a live map-status check; see the maps page for the distinction.
